Don’t Let Stress And Anxiety Rule Your Life
If stress and anxiety are ruling your life, therapy can help. If you believe you’re no longer fully engaged as a parent, friend, partner, employee or student, and juggling all the parts of your life feels more difficult than it used to, maybe it’s time to do things differently.
You might feel:
- Stressed out or overwhelmed
- Feeling detached or disconnected or unfocused
- Worried all the time
- Anxious about what it means to ask for help
I'm an Annapolis, Md mental health therapist and I understand how scary it is when life’s bumps and bruises leave you feeling like your life is no longer within your control.
When stress gets to be too much, when emotions become overwhelming, when anxiety consumes you, I believe that counseling can help you make the personal changes you want to feel more balanced, more focused and better able to manage the minute-to-minute challenges in your life.
Moving Forward: Managing Stress And Anxiety
Initially, using mindfulness in combination with talk therapy, we work towards learning how to manage your stress, so that you can live your life with intention, instead of reaction.
We then begin to explore your thoughts and feelings with mindful compassion and curiosity. You might begin to recognize that you are much harder on yourself than you are on others. That inner voice, your inner critic, is constantly judging, criticizing and blaming you for your mistakes, or your actions.
Our continued exploration harnesses the strength to grow that exists within you. You learn to accept your imperfections, and effectively manage the stressful ups and downs of daily life.
