Growing Together: Information on Group Therapy
Some people find that group therapy is a great option to help them reach their goals. In group therapy, you work together with the therapist and other group members. Where individual therapy provides one-on-one sessions, group therapy allows feedback and sharing with group members for more support and a wider perspective. Members are selected to ensure a good fit for each group.
Here’s some information about group therapy:
Group therapy typically costs less per session than one-on-one counseling.
You meet new people who are working toward similar goals.
Group members can offer you a new or different perspective.
Members are usually not in crisis or overwhelming distress.
