Working with a group

In group therapy you work together with the therapist and group members toward your goals. Members are selected to ensure a good fit for each group. Where individual therapy provides one-on-one sessions, group therapy allows feedback and sharing with group members for a wider, supportive group perspective. Group therapy is a great option for some people.

Here’s some information about group therapy:

  • The cost is typically less per session.

  • You meet new people who are working toward similar goals.

  • The group members can offer you a new or different perspective. 

  • Members are usually not in crisis or overwhelming distress.
