Growing Together: Information on Group Therapy

Some people find that group therapy is a great option to help them reach their goals. In group therapy, you work together with the therapist and other group members. Where individual therapy provides one-on-one sessions, group therapy allows feedback and sharing with group members for more support and a wider perspective. Members are selected to ensure a good fit for each group.

Here’s some information about group therapy:

  • Group therapy typically costs less per session than one-on-one counseling.

  • You meet new people who are working toward similar goals.

  • Group members can offer you a new or different perspective.

  • Members are usually not in crisis or overwhelming distress.

Progression Counseling starts new groups throughout the year. If you’re interested in learning more or have questions about upcoming groups, you email or call me at 410-339-1979 for a free 15-minute consultation.
