When Stress & Anxiety Rule Your Life Everything Just Feels Hard

Welcome! I’m Elizabeth Cush, licensed clinical professional counselor.

I want to help you put down the stress, the overwhelming emotions and the anxiety you carry with you so that you feel more balanced, more focused and better able to progress through each challenge you might face.

If stress and anxiety are ruling your life, therapy can help.  If you believe you’re no longer fully engaged as a parent, friend, partner, employee or student, and juggling all the parts of your life feels more difficult than it used to, maybe it’s time to do things differently.

You might feel:

  • Stressed out or overwhelmed

  • Unmotivated

  • Detached or disconnected or unfocused

  • Worried all the time

  • Anxious about what it means to ask for help

I'm an Annapolis, Md mental health therapist and I understand how scary it is when life’s bumps and bruises leave you feeling like your life is no longer within your control.

Moving Forward: Managing Stress And Anxiety

Initially, using mindfulness in combination with talk therapy, we work towards finding the strategies to help you manage your stress, so that you can live your life with intention, instead of reaction.

We then begin to explore your thoughts and feelings with mindful compassion and curiosity. You'll learn to quiet your inner critic, the part of you that constantly judges, criticizes and blames you for your mistakes, or your actions.

Our continued exploration harnesses the strength to grow that exists within you. You learn to accept your imperfections, and effectively manage the stressful ups and downs of daily life.
